Finally, I have gotten it!

Finally, I have gotten it! 

I went to One U for shopping with mama yesterday. We were there at 10.30am as I wanted to get a good parking spot and  not wasting my time rounding looking for one. 

The first shop that I went after parking the car was to the Maxis Centre and asked if there have stocks for Samsung Galaxy Note 2. When the attendant replied " YES", I was really happy and excited. Finally I managed to own it. (Still no news from Gardens even though I have given my name on the waiting list last 2 weeks). 

The phone is really vibrant. So far I have yet to fully discover the features but it surely is an awesome smartphone. Now, is to look for a nice phone cover.

......And this was the gift from him to me this Christmas. :D  Thank you!

Christmas came and left....

It was short for me as I didn't get to take any annual leave.

As usual, went to church with my family, then proceeded for a porky lunch at BellyGood, Sunway Mentari. The food is delicious and prices are reasonable too.

At night, we continued with our celebration at The Pork Place at IOI Boulevard, Puchong, with Leroy. He joined and bought us for a scrumptious meal!! 

The restaurant was full that night. Luckily, I dropped by in the afternoon to make a table reservation.
We had a secluded place to ourselves.

And we celebrated another year of Christmas together. :)

Below are the Christmas pressies that I received so far....there are still more to come. :)

The La Senza pyjamas set is from my new boss. My interpretation of her gift is that she knows we work hard and want us to have a pleasant sleep at night. :)   The white Ralph Lauren T shirt was from my ex-colleague and the make up remover was from my bro.....

What did I get from Leroy? Hmm.....still at Maxis Centre and I am still waiting for it.... *sob sob*

Saturday Flu

Just over the weekend, Leroy and I were invited to his friend's house for a pre-Christmas potluck party. All of us were assigned to bring food as she was already providing a lot of drinks..and I mean LOTS of alcoholic drinks....from the different types of beers, whiskies to wines... 

So, he picked me up that evening and off we went to Menjalara first to pack the famous grilled chicken wings...then off we went to Damansara Uptown to pack the Kajang Satay. Boy, the food was good! The others brought roast pork, pasta and KFC.

We had lots of laughter and fun that night. It was all about catching up and silly jokes....and of course, drinks were free flow all night long.....

By the time I got home at 2am, I hit straight to the bathroom for a shower and straight to bed. I was really tired....plus was feeling a little unwell....and I guess that was when my flu got 'full-blown".

Sincere apologies for not really updating my blog off late..every since I started my new job. (Perasannya, not sure if I do have readers out there :P )

OK here are some updates on my side of the world....

Last Monday, I met up with a few fun people - my ex-key customer, 3 ex-colleagues, 1 partner in crime (in my previous job) and my ex-boss. We went to Udang King (King Prawn in English) at Mont Kiara. I don't recall that I have been here many many many moons back, until I parked my car and walked in to the restaurant. 

To my utter surprise, the restaurant didn't change much from the very first time I was there. Maybe some minor change in furniture. 

The food was great! Rather quite unique tasting.

And...guess what, "Chicken with fruit Lychee" caught my attention when I was browsing through the menu before all of them arrived. Wonder how it taste like...

We updated about our lives as one of them is now based in Singapore. She came back for Christmas holidays with her family. Of course, we did mesmerize the good ol' days we had together.

Great night, awesome company! We didn't stay too late as we all had to work the next day...Surely looking forward to another gathering session with this bunch!

This Christmas is really different for me. Because....I am sick - was attacked by the flu bacteria since Friday...  : ( 

Sob sob...but I will try to have fun and enjoy the joyous day!

Savoured

It was merely that 2 hours, but I enjoyed every moment with him. 

We went to Zara to look for his working pants, but unfortunately they didn't have what he wanted. So, we headed on for dinner (or supper I would say). Since both of us had something earlier, so we had something lighter than a full dinner. 

It was a great way for me to de-stress since I have been quite stressed up off late. 

...And I savoured every moment of the quality time we had together.

I really dislike the feeling of having my weekend being ruined by work; my job and the stress.

I am having the feeling that I had 2 years ago. I wonder will there be one day where this sucky feeling will vanish and I will be happy again with my job?

Another week is almost over...

Monday....Tuesday..Wednesday...Thursday...Friday...! So fast! So fast! Time passes so fast for me!!!!!

Yes, we celebrated her birthday 2 weekends ago :)

This weekend....was mainly a working one

Right....so this weekend was supposed to have a bit of R&R, but there wasn't much except for me being able to catch up with my TV series...5 episodes of it. Apart from that, it was all about my work. Managed to work on my ordering forecast file as the deadline is tomorrow morning, 9am! Just need to run through it with my boss in the morning then I can submit. Hmm....hope I got it right as it's my first time working on the file.

My man is down with fever and flu, so we were unable to go dating. Poor guy, came back from a 3 days business trip and ended up like this. Anyway, I didn't get to visit him because it might be contagious. So, I stayed home as well.

I hope my darling get well real soon.

While I was waiting for my car to be cleaned this evening, this man came up to me. He said I looked really familiar and if I was from XXXX company. Yes, I replied and told him my name. I was really surprised that he remembered me as he was my sales manager back then, 9 years ago! 

This means I still look like 9 years ago?!

The weekend is here

So fast....the weekend is here without realizing it. Time really passes very fast with my new job. I didn't feel this way for sometime now... On weekdays, I am just filled with work and exciting tasks. I am thankful that my boss is patient with me and still guiding me whenever I am not sure about my work. 

Now I can really rest and breakaway from the stress for the next 2 days..but maybe in between I'd still need to look at some work...

Intensive 2 days in SG

I was fortunate enough to go for the brand's training in Singapore even though I've just joined the company for less than a month. It was a very intensive 2 days training. I flew in the morning of the training day itself and it was quite tiring as I had to wake up at 4am.

I met my other counterparts from Australia, New Zealand, Korea and Vietnam as well.

After a day of training, I finally got to check in to the hotel, which was walking distance from the office.

(thank goodness)

 After a quick change of clothes and freshened up, off I went for a short shopping spree with the Korean, just right before we all met up again with the principal for dinner. She managed to buy a pair of shoes, but I wasn't really in the mood of shopping. Maybe because I was feeling tired.

So, the principal bought us to One Fullerton area for dinner. We took some photos of the place before entering the restaurant as it was the first time for some of us to Singapore. Well honestly, I have been to Singapore for many times but I totally haven't got the chance to fully explore it; not every part of Singapore. What more there are new buildings or developments in Singapore?

So, we finally headed to the restaurant for a seafood dinner.

FYI - this was actually the bip they gave us to not dirty our clothes when we dug into the crabs.

Yup, we dropped by Ku De Ta for a drink. Very cool and nice place....very commercialised too!

Second day came and we had a half day session again in the office.

After the training on External Relations and Operations, we headed for Shanghainese lunch.

Our principal also brought us to Takashimaya to check out the Bulgari Christmas tree. It was really beautiful. The ornaments are actually the interpretation of the famous Bulgari heritage of gemstones.

 Oh...we dropped by the Bulgari flagship store too. It's so prestigious till the extend that I will not walk in myself. It is the modernised replica of the first store at 10, Via Condotti.

 Really elegant outlet. This is the auspicious '8' chandelier in the outlet.

I had to leave half way during the market visit as I needed to catch the flight home. By the time I landed, it was 9 pm. There was a delay as the weather was raining. Boy, I felt really exhausted after this 2 days. But it was really an eye opener and good learnings. 

Upset

It's really quite upsetting when we are not allowed to apply for our annual leave till the system is all stable and up running smoothly, despite the festive season. Not even for a day. I feel sad and upset because unable to join for a family vacation; even though it is just 3D2N short vacation; which requires a day off.

So, when many people asked me why have I not been on a vacation or when was my last vacation - this will be one of the reasons. Just not the right timing or shit happens like the above mentioned (when my partner is available for a vacation); or my partner was tied up with work.

My precious weekend...

...is finally here! I am so happy that it's Saturday and we have quite a packed weekend with activities! 

It had been a long work week anyhow...

*Am now waiting for him to come pick me up... :P
