The loud ones met up at Publika last night, after work. We've decided to meet mid way between KL and PJ to suit the just-promoted- to-mum.
I met up with Petty first as we were there earlier than the rest. We walked around and it was my first time really exploring the mall. Shops are very new and scattered (those in operations) but restaurants and cafes were quite busy.
While strolling along the aisle in BIG, I was really excited with the groceries and brands they have. The vegetables are really fresh looking; and the price was of course more pricey than the usual.
We wanted to dine at Bee but there was a private function going on. So, we changed to Ben's. It was my first time trying it out. The ambiance is actually quite relaxing and lifestyle. I was fascinated with the things they placed on the table - a milk carton box with activities printed on it; a holder with talk cards (guess to assist those people has no topics to talk about), recipes and feedback cards.
The hand-written looking menu
The bar and near entrance area
A must-try drink. Very refreshing after a long day (non-alcoholic)
In total, we ordered 4 dishes to share out. (but I only 2 took photos of the lot because we were too hungry. Started to whack them before could even take a photo of it)
This is one spaghetti that I recommend. Creamy tomato with beef.
(I don't take beef but the rest of the ladies do. So I had only the spaghetti )
A unique combination salad. Duck salad with pomelo. Something not too filling.
One set back of this restaurant is that they hired Burmese whom don't understand or can converse English or Malay. It was difficult to get their attention even to place order. We waited long for our 2nd of drinks too!
We laughed and chit chatted for 3 wholesome hours. There were so much to talk and b*#ch about. Before we left, we had a photo together. When we got home, we continued to Whatsapp and was planning for the next b*#ching session. :D
Looking forward to another food adventure with this gang!
*By the way, I will go to Publika some time again to explore further.....
